Buyer's Remorse....

Re: Buyer's Remorse....

+1 on the tube amp. I can use humbuckers into a modeling amp, but single coils into a L6 is difficult because it's hard to get the punch and fatness, and SS amps have more noise with singles.

Re: Buyer's Remorse....

Moral of the story, buy a Fender Deluxe Reverb RI

Fixed :D

Butch, with all do respect, if you're complaining of the tone of an MIA Tele through a POS solid state amp, correct the issue at hand here. You're a great player; play through a real amp that's going to really showcase what you can do and quit whining about the silly stuff like a sticker not coming off. If you like the Fender sound, but don't want the output of a Deluxe Reverb, maybe try a Champ or a Princeton.

In this case, I don't think it's that any particular tube amps is so neccessary as much as the Line 6 is a liability.

Re: Buyer's Remorse....

That is a great looking guitar! If it plays well and sound good unplugged......KEEP IT! Change the PUs and /or get a different amp.

Re: Buyer's Remorse....

Yeah I would try to make that one work unless it sounds like a turd acoustically.

Re: Buyer's Remorse....

This guitar is a gem. It took awhile, because it's a complex amp; but I was able to dial in the tones I wanted. New pickups? No, these are very nice; especially the neck pickup. I might add a middle Strat pickup. I have a Fender Texas Special sitting in a drawer.

Re: Buyer's Remorse....

I know that most Am Std users are used to the older saddles, not the new vintage style stamped ones. They do sound brighter. Some players may like that, and some still prefer the cast saddles for a less steely high end.
