my take on a Martin D28... still one of the nicest guitars out there...

Sitka Spruce top
Black Limba back and sides
Curly maple, BWB bindings
Maple and Bloodwood binding on the neck
ebony board, with customer inlay on the 12th.
Qld Maple/Tas Myrtle/Silky Oak/Purple Heart neck, Qulited maple headstock plate, Tas Myrtle pinstripes...
Schaller GrandTune heads with Snakewood buttons...
Ebony Bridge, pins, end pins and strap buttons..
Gold flecked Onyx truss rod cover..
Ebony and Beech Gothic Arch heel cap..
Rosette: Silky Oak, Purple Heart, BWB Purfling.

Lovely indeed! Your reluctance to let it go is understandable, and justified. I'd have a hard time sending that one away. Nice work, man.

PS: The blue electric on the wall in your workshop- is that a work in progress or an old project languishing uncompleted?

The Blue guitar is there as a reminder to me... it was less than perfect... so it gets screwed to the wall, right through the mahogany back....
Expensive wall decoration...
