C8 + DSL100 - Bossy Monkey [Groove Metal]

there are spots were the compression bogs down the mix, and another spot were the layers arent matched so it doesnt seem panned right. but overall i like it! i dont consider it a song, just a jam session gone crazy and recorded.

cheers!

Sounds just as good today!

Even heavier!

That's just too badass, man. Basically the standard I'm gonna hold myself to whenever I get around to recording heavier stuff. I don't think I'll get near achieving that killer tone though.

Hah! A Line 6 Spider IV 75 watter. I'm what you call a broke-ass guitarist. It does some things pretty good but nowhere near as good as a nice Marshall, obviously. One day though.

that is worthy imo, you can really process it post recording to get it wet and airy, with alot of cab emulations for the low end.
if you sent me a double layered riff and each layer separate i could process it and make it huge! :)

I just may do that! I'm trying to get a nice little usb audio interface for better recording tones. Using some crappy instr/usb cord right now. It works but it sucks certain parts of my tone dry. I'll keep in touch, though!

your going to laugh at me, but i have a even wayy better version. and this one is final, im leaving for the night so i have no choice but not to work on it.

i keep forgetting to apply this one last master chain to my mixes.
this is with it! makes the center image more solid, not as wide and thin.

i have three audio units for sale if your interested, i dont really like shipping over the net but id make an exception if you need a good low latency unit.
mine is the echo layla 3g, i can get 2ms latency and it feels realtime for effects, no delay like with a regular audio card.
these cards would achieve the same details.

e mu 1820 $200 (with pci card and cable)
echo gina 3g $175 (with pci card and cable)
echo gina $135 (with pci card and cable)

Sweet! Like I said, I'm perpetually broke due to at least 4 people taking my money so I'll keep in touch.
