Great clip. Thanks for sharing those links in your signature, I'm downloading everything, now I have a playlist for the next time I find myself sitting at my computer mowing down zombies/aliens/human beings.

hey thanks brother that makes me feel very good!
mow them DOWN!

some stuff is really old and kinda hardcore techno. but i slowly progressed back into my metal roots on the last 3 years..the mixture is my main sound now.

Re: C8 rockin some industrial music!

If you've got a whole album of "particle 7" type stuff that would be incredible

Re: C8 rockin some industrial music!

I just listened to the Particle 7 track, that's great man. Why haven't you found a vocalist for that stuff? Is that a Nord synth? Virus?

i know thats what im shooting for, that sound is not really anywhere but coming out of me, its fairly original. i have two distinct musical roots.
im fairly lazy as well, cause sometimes i just dont want the rush of making music it drains me, i wish i could do it low key and have the same results.
thanks again!

its a Access Virus KB, the keyboard version of the B unit, had it since 2001.

i did attempt my own vocals once for a collab song with one of my friends.
never played this for anyone before! its kinda rough but that is the only voice i could do that would sound remotely industrial. the raspyness is actually all me i didnt process that. sounds kinda like acumen nation vocals.

Re: C8 rockin some industrial music!

I thought a Virus or nord, I had the Virus C and the Nord rack, both awesome synths.

For what it's worth I think you should get it together and put some tracks out with vocals. I could hear a rapper in the verses then you in the chorus. The industrial music scene may have passed already perhaps? There's such a huge electro POP and dance movement now.

that would be one original sound with the rapper in the verse and this full on industrial vocals in the chorus. it would be like a collage of genres, but really that is the only way music will survive is splicing and blending like that.

Linkin Park used that formula and most POP/Rap songs are using that formula now as well. Listen to the new Eminem and Rhianna track, it's outstanding. The problem is that "everyone" in the rap pop game is now using sung pop hooks with raps in the verse.
Sometimes it's best not to buck the trend though as long as you get in when it's relatively fresh. Chasing a trend long after it's started is futile.

I think it's important to try and be fresh in some way.

thats why im just gonna do what i already do and not worry about putting rap in my music cause i hate rap, i used to make it for a guy in my town.
trance industrial metal is where my heart is, if i never make a impact that is my own fault then, i make music for my own ears anyways and this is the sound ive been working at since 1998.

I'm sure you can find a market for it. I was a dance music producer and I have been working towards a similar sound for years as well Trance/House/Rock - too old to do Industrial. :) Anyhow, it's a cool sound you have and with good vocals it should get some attention.

Keep rockin bro!

Re: C8 rockin some industrial music!

Listen to this track of Surface's, it kicks some booty: http://www.mp3.com.au/Player/ShowPlayer.aspx

yeah the webplayer doesnt link over.
which one was it?

and yeah my old mixes were all over the place in technique, i almost went back and fixed all of them but i want to keep them in there original state that i thought was finished back then. preserving my point of view back then.
