Cab For A DSL 100

i've heard that many people use non-marshall cabinets with their DSL heads. anyone know if a great sounding 2x12 or 4x12 8ohm cab for a DSL 100 at a cheap price? besides marshall cabs, what do you prefer to use with your marshall head?

A DSL and a mesa recto traditional (not the oversized) cab w/ vintage 30's sounds deadly! A friend runs this very simple setup and it sounds killer!

Maybe just an opinion, but Marshall heads really look best with a matching cab.

The best sounding one for that head, IMO, is the Marshall 1960AV, which comes stock with Vintage 30's. The best economical route is this.....find the cheapest JCM 800 or 900 1960A you can find used, then later, change the lower left and upper right speakers to Vin 30's, selling 2 of the stock G75T's. You'll have a crisscross of two types that compliment each other.

You said cheap, Mesa doesnt fit in that category, neither does the $950 1960BV.

Avatar cabs, choose your own celestions, or choose the same as what comes in the 1960BV or the recto cab.. which are V30's.

Avatar cab with 2 Celestion V30's and two G12H30's pre-broken in +$30 in a couple of cosmetic changes in parts for under $500 delivered to your doorstep.

Agreed 100%. I know it's not about image, but Marshall head + cab just looks right.

hell, i don't care about looks. i want a cheap cab with decent tone until i can afford a new mesa or 1960 vintage cab.
