Cab for my C30?

Haven't been on the SD forums in a long time. Nice to see you guys are still alive and kickin'. I just practiced with this band because they needed a bass player, but I played some guitar for them and now I'm their new guitarist. So both of the current guitarists have 4x12s under their combos. One has a Kustom 65 watt combo and the other a StudioPro 112. The Classic 30 is enough for me to practice with, but I'm kinda needing a cab now for some more oomph. What do you guys recommend?

Re: Cab for my C30?

Also, unsure about impedance matching. The amp has a 16 ohm jack on the back. I was going to try it with my friend's cab, but it was 8 ohm and I don't remember which way you could go without blowing anything up :) What's the rule on this? And even if it's safe for me to go into my friend's cab, what will the effect on the sound be?

my C30 combo plugged into my 5150 cab is kind of interesting.... but i mostly just use it with a Classic series 1x12 extent cab

Re: Cab for my C30?

Well I did some reading and found that If I want to hook up an 8 ohm cab I have to disconnect the speaker. Only 16 ohm cabs can be run with the internal still connected.
