Hey fellas.
Some of you guys might remember me desiring to get a Mesa boogie Mark IV about 2 months ago. Well, I got it about a month ago. a Short head w/ a 1x12 cab. sometime in the future I would like to get a 4x12 cabinet for it. which leads me to my next question....
what should I get?
I was initially considering the rectifier cabinet, but I'd like to know what kind of sound I'd be getting.
you guys know me...musically diverse. RIght now i'm in Texas doing alot of worship music, but I have plans for other things...preferably heavy stuff. I don't know much about cabs, so help me out.

btw, budget is kinda tight, but under a $1000.
Thanks and God Bless

Re: Cabinet for Mark IV

The Rectifier cab has a huuuge sound to it - very big, great low end response, great thunk to it. It's a bit more scooped sounding than other cabinets with the same speakers, though.

The Traditional (now called the Stiletto) cab will sound tighter, but have less low end. The midrange has some annoying qualities to my ears, in comparison to the Recto cab.

Do you know what kind of speakers you like?

Re: Cabinet for Mark IV

quite honestly no :)
In the past i've only used combos, but now that I have a head...i'd like to take advantage of the possibilities I have. The rectifier cab sounds pretty when I played through it, I'd love to have an awesome bass response and a big sound would be an added bonus.
