Calling all acoustic blues dudes!

Ive just started getting into acoustic blues a lot more, and i love it!!

Just wondering if you guys actually use acoustics with pickups inside them, or rather just mic up the soundhole on a good acoustic when playing live. What gets the best actual acoustic vibe where you can hear the actual guitar as if you were listening to it right next to it just purely acoustically?

I mike the guitar around the 12th fret with a Shure SM-57 and right on the edge of the sound hole a little behind it on the treble side with a Shure SM-58. Best I can do with what I got. And if you're going for blues, the last thing you should be worried about is how the tone is, but more of how it sounds. It's the blues, it's supposed to move someone, not say "hey, that note was nice and fat". It should all feel the same no matter what.
