Howdy, I was noticing today that me and the two other lefties I know play with string guages that are considerably heavier than the other folks I know. I for one use 12-56 in e flat for and one of them uses 12-52 in standard and the other uses a roughly equal tension set based of 11-50 with a wound g in standard.
I attribute this to the fact that lefties have naturally stronger fretting hands as we have natural dexterity built up in them over a lifetime so we can bend, especially the treble strings, easier.
