Calling NegEaz and Beer$

OH THE DOUBLE THICK GLAZE!
What changes do you reckon I should play for the coda to this tune? It's probably the most solid ballad in my rep so I think I should get the intro, a section, b section, and coda all memorized. There's no music for it, and this is the only recording I can find on youtube that has the coda but Monk is playing backgrounds and not chords. I could lift the melody and then make chords up to go with it but I wanted to see if you guys have definitive ideas of what the changes are. The a section winds down at 5:50 and the coda begins at exactly 6:00.

Ha awesome.. I'll think on this tonight.

Monk is my dude!

Clint this is in almost every Realbook if you don't have on get one. I have some that are PDF. Let me see if I have this for you.

Thx Bruce. That Wes Montgomery one looks good. I'll read into it.

I have the intro and tune memorized. I just need to get the ending together. It's the most solid ballad I know so I want to have it down legit.

So for clarity’s sake, you’re going to cover this tune? What instrument will you be playing you want direction on?

I know this tune on all my instruments. I've had it memorized for a while. There's the main tune which has 2 parts, AABA, and I have the music for that. There's an intro also and I have that music also. But I've never come across the music for the ending or coda. My ear isn't good enough to lift the chords, but I have lifted the melody. Just seeing if you guys with better ears than me have an idea of what the changes are for the ending or coda. The lead in to the coda starts at about 5:56 and the downbeat to the coda is at 6:00.

Oh, you just want to know what keys they’re in or notes? Too easy. I could probably notate the entire coda for you, just need to put scoring software on my girlfriend’s computer and some free time. Having perfect pitch, it won’t be a problem.

Yes. In the end what I want to know is what block chords I should play under the melody or saxophone part which I can/have figured out. So if that's easier to just write out what chord symbols the band or keys/bass is implying then that would be more useful for me. But if it's easier for you to notate it then that's fine too. Thanks.
