Calling Riley: DA-59s p'ups for D'Angelico guitars

Re: Calling Riley: DA-59s p'ups for D'Angelico guitars

Hey Peter, sorry I missed this before -- the DA-59 is a tweaked SH-1 59 model made exclusively for D'Angelico. The wind has been modified according to their wishes, unfortunately that's all I can say about it for the time being.

Thank you very much indeed for getting back to me, Riley. Much appreciated!

Would it be possible for you to at least provide a DC reading of the set? I mean, unless it's considered "Proprietary info", that is.

Well?

Just scored a pair of these - gold covers, super clean, 4-wire

8.78 and 8.92 put in neck/bridge positions respectively though they aren't labelled for a position

They sound like 59's, just a bit more hair

These sound so good!

I put them in my korina Carlino Identity and I can't imagine changing them out. I'd been hemming and hawing over putting a '59 set in and these showed up at the shop so I figured why not? Fit the guitar to a tee

Nice. I bet the bridge is especially tasty.

So we'll check the latest press releases from NAMM or Musical Merchandise Review, right?

So the D'Angelico SD 59s are a little hotter than the regular SD 59s?

This is important to me as I have well over a dozen D'Angelico's with SD59s in them

I've never purchased the Seymour Duncan 59s from SD. Though I've purchased a lot from them, including:
Seth Lovers, Pearly Gates, Invaders, etc

Excellent information!

Any idea what the regular SD 59 specs are?
