Can a JB beat a Pearly Gates?

Re: Can a JB beat a Pearly Gates?

They're both awesome pickups worth trying. I can imagine a Pearly Gates in the neck and a JB in the bridge kicking ass.

Re: Can a JB beat a Pearly Gates?

Martys own website when he sold all his megadeth guitars gave the pedigree for all of them I've even posted the serial number of the guitar so look it up yourself.

Ive posted the serial number of daves guitar do the same.

I've been to Marty Friedman's website, gone through the Scorpion archives, dug deep into 'The Realms of Deth' and other murky places on the Internet, and you still have more information than me. I was talking about your information about Megadeth gear in general. I suppose it was mostly from offline sources?

Maybe its cause Ive been around 22 years longer and remember when those things came out new and read in the magazines and saw in the interviews details on the gear. 2 net sources that are gone that used to be great ones were the old harmony central amp forum and JCF (Jcf still exists but its been purged once or twice)

But you gotta be careful even with interviews. There is one kicking around where Dave is saying that his guitar DM010 was his first Jackson and cost 3000 dollars. If you dig around the Jackson custom shop archives you can find out this is absolute BS. The serial number DM stands for dave mustaine so would have been AFTER he had gotten an endorsement. You can find the original work order for J2173 which has Daves name on it and says the guitar cost him 1095 dollars. (3k in a1986 would have been flat insane!)

Obviously. I didn't really expect anything else, after digging for so long online. Dave can blame the drugs for many things, this included.
