Can an EMG PA-2 be used in-line with a pickup???

I am currently using a PA-2 on a couple of my guitars to boost the level and output of the neck position EMG single coil. And I am curious to know if I can run and use the PA-2 in-line with the pickup (single coil to PA-2 input, PA-2 output to switch...), or does it have to be the last thing in the signal chain before the jack???

im pretty sure you can do that though i havent tried it myself
