Can anyone help me debug this config?

I've just wired my washburn guitar using a multipole switch, using the schematics provided by DiMarzio. The selections are as follows:

1: Neck humbucker
2: Outer coils of both humbuckers
3: Neck + Bridge humbucker
4: Inner coils of both humbuckers
5: Bridge humbucker

http://www.dimarzio.com/Text/Wiring/TwoHumbuckers5WayMultiple.pdf

When I test the selections by tapping on the coils, it seems that something is wrong with the 4 selection... it selects the inner coil of the neck humbucker and the whole of the bridge humbucker.

I can't figure out the electronics on the multipole switch, only know how to solder and try make clean solders, so would there be anyone who can tell me what's wrong?

Thanks in advance. :)

Hi thor; Welcome to the forum. The first question is: did you actually use DMZ pups? Just, there color code is different than Duncans.

The next thing to check is: look at this segment of that diagram. The connection where the blue arrow is, is the "ground" connection that splits the bridge in the #4 position.

Double-check that, and let me know about the first question. We'll go from there.

ArtieToo - u're right on the spot! I wired the one below to ground instead and i had thought i had soldered 2 or more pins together that's why I had a full humbucker on the bridge at that 4th position. no wonder you are the guru around here... :)

yup i'm using a PAF Pro with a Super Distortion.

doing this multipole switch wiring makes the guitar very versatile now :)

thanks a million man.. now i can get a sweet emulated tele sound (well it sounds more like another different Strat tone to me).
