Hi, can anyone please help me ,

I purchased 2 pickups off Ebay which were advertised as Seymour Duncan 59 humbuckers.

When they arrived they were not branded with the normal engraved seymour duncan logo on the back but with just a 59n and a 59b sticker .

When i emailed the seller i was told that early Seymour pickups did not have the engraving on the back , is this true?

See pictures below

Any help would be much appreciated

i'd be happy about owning an old SD pickup.

as long as it works! :D

Yeah I've had older SDs without the engraving. The stickers look legit to me.

thanks for the information and quick responses i was getting worried that i had been ripped off. Being older does it make the pickups more desirable ?

Not really, especially with that spliced wire.

And is it common to find those rings around the slugs on older models?
