FWIW, I have a 1995 '59n wound by MJ and it measures 7.18K.

This is an A4 modded p'up that resided in my #1 guitar for over five years, paired up with an A8 Custom.

I'm renewing this guitar completely, as after seven years of duty, frets need to be dressed so I'm sending it to get Plek'ed. This guitar is completely worth of such an (expensive) investment.

Afterwards, a new harness with premium parts and a set of Bill Megela's Electric City Pickups RD-59s are waiting to be installed.

Oh one somewhat funny but might not be funny to SD fans - for years I avoided SD pickups in general because everyone and their brother had them - I thought it might make me sound like everyone else or might genericize what I was doing. Not so!

After I actually got to play a set I realize why they are so popular: they sound good!

D'oh! (Homer Simpson noise).
