Can/Do Trembucker models sound the same as their originals?

They advertise as the same tonallity, but the coils are bigger, usually a bit more DC Resistance. I've got a DD and DD trembucker. Seems the trembucker sounds a bit muddier. Thoughts?

Use lighter gauge strings? Change the pots?

I don't think the extra wire or K would be in the realms of being audibly different.....or at least not that you could point the finger at that. The shape is different, and the magnetic field too. The poles are further apart and the associated metal hardware is longer. Any of these aspects could affect tone, and not in a way that is the same as what adding extra wire to a similar shaped pickup would do.

Are these pickups in a different guitar?? Thats a bigger shift by far than T or regular spaced.

There was just a thread about this very thing a week or so ago.

Some people can take several of the same model and hear differences.
