In 1983 (?) I restored a Les Paul that was burnt in a fire, not nearly as bad as this. Every bit of plastic was melted, and every piece of hardware was ruined. Back then a new Les Paul costs less than I charged, but it was a graduation gift from the guys' parents. The grease in the tuning machines melted and ran down the back of the neck (it was in a stand). The fingerboard was crispy, too. The case was ruined, it was pitched. It was below zero in Montana, and the fire department hosed everything down. The guitar literally went from fire to ice. The owner didn't find the guitar for a couple days. Last I heard, the guy was still playing it.
The only camera I owned back was a Kodak 110...
