can you do two finger tapping!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: can you do two finger tapping!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you do two-finger tapping?

Yeah, with chords and one string on E B G.
Holdsworth and Becker started this.

Fixed... at least for punctuation and capitalization. Unfortunately it still doesn’t make any sense due to the wording, but at least it’s not shouting at us anymore with all the un-needed exclamation points.

Re: can you do two finger tapping!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you do four finger tapping?

For example, with Emajor. The left hand hammers the root and fifth of the Emajor-chord while the right hand taps an inversion of the same chord in the twelvth position. Most often this is done with multiple notes being played across the G, B, and high e strings. Allan Holdsworth and Jason Becker were the first to try this.

Fixed, except I don't know any of the early examples of AH and JB doing it.

Re: can you do two finger tapping!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, he is gone, but his spirit lives on!
But, the earliest I've seen Holdsworth do it is '82, after VH. But hey, if you can play like Holdsworth, you don't really need to do it. Also, the guitar is ill-suited. Get yourself a Chapman Stick or a Touch Guitar or Harpejji instead and do it right.
