Can you sell a pedal?

Re: Can you sell a pedal?

I just sold off a bunch of my pedals–was initially hard to do but when I looked at how little I actually used them it wasn't a hard decision. I only kept one that was handbuilt and very hard to find–the others are easily replaceable.

I have this affliction. I'm not suffering. ;)

Although, I did finally part with a few things. I prefer to trade. I almost always use any funds I acquire from a sale, to buy something to replace the item.

Re: Can you sell a pedal?

I generally sell the stuff I have no intention of using. I am using a Fractal board now, so it is really easy to replicate every pedal I've ever owned, so I am just not that interested in acquiring or obsessing about them anymore. I mean, I like pedals, but I wasted a lot of time researching and obsessing that I could have been playing. So I just shifted the priorities.

Which brings up another question: If you elect to bypass amp modeling and use effects only does any part of the guitar signal remain dry. That is, do the effects have a mix function so that the amount of signal sent to the digital domain can be ontrolled?

Re: Can you sell a pedal?

I usually don't have any to sell because I research the hell out of things I buy and ask peoples opinions which helps as well. Having said that most have been what I was looking for or I like well enough that I can't part with them. I have taken advantage of return policys a bit too. One pedal I had no prob getting rid of was the Mad Professor Electric Blue Chorus simply because I realized that the speed control was to fast for me even at its lowest setting. I really kinda wanted to get down to one reverb and one chorus but I can't quite do it because of the different flavors they offer. My WET was posted for sale before and I had a buyer all lined up just to backout because I had second thoughts about selling it.

Not on the Fractal AX8, but on the FX8 it certainly does.
