HR is already hot and warm. Adding anything else in series would likely be it into mud IMHO.

You can definitely use the mid HR for overdriven leads. Not totally the woolyness you can get in the neck but it's definitely usable.

I've been wanting to try some day wiring a HR in the middle of SHS setup, so that it would split for series combos. That would surely fix the muddiness?

Or maybe CR for middle?

That should do it. I’ve never heard anything like that before so it would be interesting.
