Can't get the Tuner Circles out of my Strat!

Edit: They're called BUSHINGS! :D

I don't know what they're called, but they're circular in shape and go in with the tuners. Anyway, let's call them 'Tuner Circles'

Anyway, I got some Kluson locking tuners for my Strat - and it came out with this Tuner Circle-knocker-outer. It's got an end smaller in diameter that's a centimetre of two so that it goes in the hole - but it's not big enough! It doesn't reach far enough into the wood to knock the Tuner Circle out.

What do I do?!

You mean "bushings?"

They should just push out.

The proper technical term you're looking for is "tuner circle knocker outer thingy."

Re: Can't get the Tuner Circles out of my Strat!

Yeah, bushings! LOL, nice. Thanks TGB.

It's hard to push out because there's nearly an inch of wood blocking my finger...

I can't pull them out from the top, either.

Re: Can't get the Tuner Circles out of my Strat!

i sometimes use a small piece of wood dowel and push or lightly tap the tuner bushings out from the back of the headstock.....

I keep using the word "tuner circle thingy."

Thanks for adding it to my lexicon.
