I'm currently using a Radial Silver Dipped Mica Capacitor 220pF 500V 2% after the vol pot at the LP 3 way between hot and ground to lower the resonant frequency of the bridge pup (A8 fillister breed).
Signal path in my axe is pup-pot-3way-jack.
Also want to put a .0012 100v cap between the input lug and ground at the pot (instead of at the jack) to shave off a little high end.
Would there be any tonal difference or disadvantages if they both were placed at/before the vol pot? ie- both placed at the input lug of the vol pot then grounded?
I ask because less high end is lost if the tone pot is put after the vol pot ala the 50's mod-so would it stand to reason that more would high end would be lost if these caps were put before the pot rather than after?
Thanks!
