capacitor (i think) soldered off -amp experts, help!

i own a peavey xxl combo solid state amp and recently i discovered that something was rattling inside the head. i thought it was a screw or something so i open it and i find a loose black barell-like thingie (electronics are not my area of expertise). the amp was working, but with a significant hum present on lead and ultra channels. on clean, it seems to work fine. anyway, i took the amp to the shop and they soldered the thing back on, but the hum persisted. i really don't want to take the amp to the authorised service center, because i need it on a daily basis, and the repairs there can take quite some time.
guys, help. what to do?

nope, my camera is busted, sorry. could it be that something got cooked when the thing fell off?
