Captured Past

Dug out some recordings made back in 1970/71. Some mates and I. It was christmas holidays and we'd all just finished year 12 and were on the job hunt.In the meantime we got together and made this stuff and more.

I [ Warwick ] play acoustic guitar and keyboard and sing, Phil plays acoustic and keyboard. Greg plays keyboard [ It was his electric piano ] Gary and Bruce did basses and Gerry on drums. [ He later became the drummer for Men at Work and Greg Sneddon was originally included in the line up. He left and was replaced by greg Ham.]

You'll have to forgive the recording quality as it was initially done on a reel to reel and then transferred to cassette some years later and then to a computer recently.

Congratulations. The third song anticipates "My Name Is Mudd" by over thirty years.

I have direct-to-stereo tape recordings of similar excellence, featuring some persons in their early twenties, jamming and/or laying down backing tracks. Luckily (for me), no vocal overdubs were ever added. The world was spared that indignity.

Yes we were. Young and full of enthusiasm. Being the tail end of the 60's into the 70's when guitar bands proliferated, there were plenty of us and we got together and jammed lots. There were quite a few succeses in later years with peoples musical pursuits.

Those are awesome and the sound quality is not bad considering the format changes!
