Carl Martin Plexi-Tone: yea or nay?

I'm considering the pedal above for crunch to be placed between my Gibson Les Paul and my Vox AC15. Any thoughts?

That Ca't sound bad, I am thinking. It works well with Vox and Vox-style amps. Not really transforming it into a Marshall, but you get some of that flavor.

Would you suggest the 'regular' one or the lo gain?

I have heard a real one once, and vids. Can't speak to the Vox. I say Yea

That said, I'd get a Wampler Mini Plexi Drive, personally.

Well, I like the low gain, but most people like the regular one. I love the sound of lower gain Marshalls, though.

I have the gold single version. One of the better Plexi-in-a-boxes I have. It's one of the few that has that split-sound where there is like a distortion on top of a clean ringing sound and the distortion is slightly compressed and then fades out to a clean ring like the real amp does. It's slightly brighter than my other MIAB pedals, but that would work well with a VOX.
