I know that our own Mr. Rid helped design this pedal and that he has some clips of it in Tips and Clips. For some reason I can't seem to connect to the sites to give a listen. Does anybody here have one and if so what could you tell me about it. Is it more of an OD or more of a distortion? Any and all info would be helpful. Thanks.

Hi Mike sorry for a late reply, I have been away on a semi retirement from this place.
It is in the od range, but it can get pretty hot, it was made to sound close to a stack on 10, big fat and with plenty of bite.
I have several version of it, have made one custom one with FET's, that one sounds abit more vintage and less hotrodded, allthough it too can get pretty hot.
Here is the FET one, same config as a standart Plexitone, just with FET's.

They are both eq'ed for the sound I wanted, they follow the amp pretty closely, so do not expect much Marshall sound on a trad Fenderbox, the mids are to low for the right bite and clarity, it likes British styled amps best, that is what it was designed for.

P'S just for that extra thing, this is on a non british styled amp, you can really hear the difference it makes.

Just remember this is not a subtle nice overdrive, it has a big bottom and lots of bite, but on the right amp it works very well for that Marshally hotrod sound.

Hehe yeah and Hiwatts, or Laneys, or old Traynors, old Laneys, Selmers, AC-50 vox heads, the AC-30 will get its speakers ripped apart if they are old and wellworn, AC-30 top, and so on
