wow, just realized they made this. quite expensive, but sounds like everything i need. does it have enough gain/drive/distortion (whatever the correct term is) for metal? does anyone own one? what are your thoughts?

i don't really know. i saw them for i think $574 on musiciansfriend.com and that seemed a little expensive. then again, expensive is a relative term. if the effects are good and the tone is great, it may be a reasonable price.

can you tell me what the deal is with the version 2 chorus problem that i read about?

Problem....well some pedals are not all that noisefree, meaning that they bleed into the chorus when used in the loop....not a problem more like sloppy filtering from Boss!
