Carlsbro confuzzlement

Hi,

I've had an old Carlsbro stingray 2x12 for 'some years', and it's seen far better days, I wasw wondering how viable it would be to cannibalise it for the cabinet and power amp.

I've always liked certain solid state aspects, and am hoping to keep the power stage, and I wanted to replace the pre side with my trusty Peavey rockmaster rack unit.

I would like to 'install said Peavey securely' once I've removed the speakers and made the cabinet more or less head sized.

Would the job be more or less just removing the pre stage of the unit, and connecting the two esctions together? I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to amps tbh!

Thanks for any help you can give.

Re: Carlsbro confuzzlement

If the amp has an FX loop you can just plug the output of your preamp into the return/in of the FX loop and just use the amps power amp.
