Carvin Legacy, Crate VFX, JB, and 59n clips up

Xeromus

Tone Ninja
Nothing special, stuck a SM57 up to the speakers, guitar cord into amps, and recorded short clips at high gain, medium gain, and clean with each pickup. I was kinda rushed to do it before my downstairs neighbor got home and these are recorded with the amps at relatively low volume. I did short clips for comparison's sake. Sorry the playing on them sucks, I didn't have time to really care. lol I just wanted to get the timbre recorded and get 'em up. Both amps have Celestion vintage 30's also. Done with my ESP.

I think the JB really works well with that Legacy.

I agree, I also realized when doing this I have to raise it up a little, the volume of the '59 neck was overpowering it when I switched.

I'll get much better ones up when I'm in a recording situation and I can crank the amp and play not so messy. Maybe when I get a THD hot plate also

Hej Xeromous
the JB looks Awesome with both AMPS.
but with the carvin, it lacks A LITTLE in Bass. JUST A LITTLE.
it fits perfetc on the crate
AWESOME SOUND
crunchy. powerfull. bright. BEAUTIFUL.
but for the legacy, i´ll suggest a duncan custom or a duncan distortion, MAYBE A CC.
ahahahahahahah

HAILS WFD! Yeah man most people don't realize how good those V-series crate amps sound. The legacy I could have done a better job of recording with, better mic placement maybe, and I turned the treble and presence up to about 7 because it's a VERY middy and bassy amp. I guess that's why it might have sounded a little weak in bass.

I want a V-Series now! I really like the '59 in the bridge position of Fatty Woo's Vandenberg, but your JB clips sorta make me wish I didn't sell mine :saeek:
