Carvin MTS 3200

I've got myself one of these, and it's great. But i want to find out a little more about Different tubes people have tried in them. The amps is super easy to re-bias, it just takes the flip of a switch on the back, so i'm considering trying some new tubes in it.

Right now i'm using Grove Tubes 6l6s. Has anyone else tried some other ones? I've heard some people like to put EL34s in them?

I think this might be my next "major" amp head purchase. I love my x100b, and I've been dying to try an MTS. congrats on you having one.

I used JJ preamp tubes and Svetlana =C= EL-34's that worked great in mine. I can not stand however the diode clipping in the gain channel. The MTS distortion is not tube. I sold mine and I am much happier with my XV-212 from '93 which blows the MTS away. The EL-34 X-amps are some of the best sounding amps ever made. I would like to try a Legacy as it kept the all tube layout much like the X-amps.
