Carvin Necks??

I am working on a project guitar and considering a bolt on Carvin neck - any thoughts. Also what do you think of their pick ups vs. others. Thanks.

Either the Carvin or Warmoth are good necks, but you get a better selection with the Warmoth. As for Carvin pups iv only herd the M22's, not to bad.

Carvin necks are cool, if you are into the slim, flat radius shredder style necks. their pickups are serviceable, but nowhere near as vibey as a good set of Duncans or even Dimarzios.

Sounds like the Carvin neck might be similar to the Ibanez based on Benjy's comments - I have considered Warmouth as well but thought I'd look at Carvin - I know they make quality stuff and have played a few of their quitars but I wasn't sure what you get when you just buy a neck from them.
In terms of pickups I was particularly interested in the Holdsworth Humbucker and the AP 11 single coils - the guitar I'm working on will be a HSS set up.
I definitely love the Duncan sound too, I have a Shecter with actual SD pups on it not the Duncan designed ones and it sounds incredible - I love the jazzy warmth of the neck pickup.
Thanks for all the info so far.

I have a Carvin neck and a have had Carvin pickups. The necks are real nice strong slim profile necks. Almost like a JEM neck but not as wide and with medium profile frets. The Ebony fingerboard is the smoothest thing on the planet and gives a nice pop to notes.

I had a M22SD pickup and two of their stacked single coil pickups. The M22sd is bright and has a real strong attack. Very loud and brash sounding I used it for nearly ten years. I replaced it with a Duncan Distortion which was a world of improvement. The stacked single coils were dark and flacid.
