Carvin Pickup Magnet Swap Help?

Have a Carvin bridge pickup, a C22T that is way too bright, even shrill. So I thought I would just swap the A5 magnets to tame it. But it's glued together.
I got the coils off, but the magnet won't come off the base without putting a lot of pressure on it, and I have already bent the base a little. Kind of looks like silicone, and it's a little rubbery feeling. Any suggestions?
If I get it apart would it work to use silicone, or contact cement to put it back?

Use a razor knife and run the blade around the perimeter of the magnet. You should then be able to get under it and pry it off. I know the glue on my M22SD dried up and the pickup kind of fell apart.

Did you glue it back together? I was thinking of drilling a couple of holes and screwing it back together.

I broke one of the coils while trying to put it back together so I trashed it. I got ten years out of it, so it wasn't a big loss. However I know what you mean by bright and hard sounding.
