Anyone have experience with these?? At first I heard less than stellar responses, but see where Guitar one gave them a 1 award and a glowing review.
Im curious.

Re: Carvin V3

I'm not sure how long they've been out, but I haven't seen any on the used market yet. That's usually the litmus test for gear. If it gets dumped by everyone who rushed out and bought one, then it wasn't a winner.

Luckily, Carvin has an store in Hollywood so I might go plug into one and see for myself. The Mesa store is right next door, so it'll give me a chance to hear them all within a half an hour.

And isn't Guitar Center is across the street? I went to the Carvin store a few months back when I was in down in Hollywood. Never got to check out the V3 though. Some goofballs were hoggin' the amp room. It did sound decent from what I can remember. However, I read that some people had reliability issues with it. Maybe it's been ironed out by now. I used to gig with an X100B back in the day and it was damn near bulletproof.
