Interesting that I mentioned above the nice Strat that I had left out on a stand for over a month, as an example of how even though I don't generally support doing that, I am not 100 percent strict about it.
Interesting because I went to my studio yesterday to play it a bit, and what do you know? Almost a dozen new lacquer cracks due to being left out of the case, thus being more directly and quickly impacted by temperature changes. And I live in a very stable, mild climate (L.A.).
