Any reviews on this? From the sound clip it sounds most stellar. Any practical anecdotes to push me over the edge and buy one?

I think it's a unique circuit, but I've heard it may be based on the Fuzz Face

It's a Fuzz Face with a bias control, I think you mean Caroline by the way. I've been meaning to try one as well.

It appears to be transformer coupled. That's pretty cool. That's the only way I can imagine the transformer being used.

Edit: Oop. Nope. It's an input pickup simulator.

I had the "California 'Za" version briefly and it was pretty interesting. They make nice pedals for sure.
