Catalinbread SCOD a OD unit or a distortion unit?

While I have to imagine it is an overdrive since it refers to it on the web site. So many people refer to it as distortion/fuzz box. Which is it?

It's one of those pedals that is right on the line between distortion and overdrive. It can sound fuzzy, but it can also get a dark, throaty growl. I wouldn't call it a "Fuzz" pedal though, it just has some of that character in it's sound. It's pretty unique, doesn't sound like anything else. Very cool OD IMO.

I would classify it as an OD, but with more gain on tap. I've always wanted to try one, I've only heard clips. It gets close to that cranked Orange sound. Nick makes some awesome pedals.
