OK - time for MAD SCIENCE. This for those of you who are "out there" No specific restrictions, but I'm looking for stuff like…

- More than six Strings
- Fanned frets
- Extended fretboard
- Onboard crap (boosters, effects, tuners, iPads, active eq's)
- Exotic materials - and I don't mean rain forest wood. Ph.D. Chemistry stuff…
- Unique construction style

Let's get future freaky!!!!

Aristides: not a single bit of wood on this guitar, she's made out of Arium, Richlite, and carbon layers.

Another Strandberg:
  • Trapezoidal neck carve (pix of endurneck), birdseye maple laminated with walnut & carbon
  • Headless
  • Fanned frets (25"-25.5")
  • Tremolo (only fanned fret guitar made with trem)
  • Chambered (weighs ~5lbs)
  • Luminous frets

I would say mine is more unique among seven strings in that it's got a fat neck, short scale length, and typical Gibson controls, but it's not really a super out there guitar overall. ChAoZ's 8 string is a gorgeous instrument that definitely deserves to win.

Nice.. I really want to try one of those but they are pretty pricy IMO

Bring the knobs, strings, tuning wacky and whatnot….

Thanks :) Wanted something simple and classy for my first. I also ordered a 7 string which will be even more blue ;)
