Sorry she's a little dirty, she doesn't see as much use these days.

Ibanez RG42T - metallic olive grey neckthrough badness...

Re: Category #7 Submissions: Best METAL guitar

Taken with my iPhone. I need to be a better photographer.

Washburn "Murder Weapon" guitar. Hand painted and distressed by Scott Ian of Anthrax. Scott was nice enough to carve a pentagram on the back of the guitar. Comes with an El Diablo in the bridge and I think a 59 in the neck. One piece mahogany neck through body. Sounds and plays amazing.

Re: Category #7 Submissions: Best METAL guitar

Will throw Pinky in the pile once again. Will bet money it will out play anything on this site.
Classic hair metal guitar and out of the MANY guitars I have owned is just some thing special. Stomped the flat snizzle out of that Washburn 3ST Dime I had head to head for example.
Just a nasty SCREAMING super fast playing beast of a guitar that everybody who picks it up and plays it wants!!

Re: Category #7 Submissions: Best METAL guitar

i'm deeply disappointed for the lack of metal guitars on this thread

Re: Category #7 Submissions: Best METAL guitar

Probably not enough metal up one's ass, but the photo turned out really well, IMO.

Re: Category #7 Submissions: Best METAL guitar

Might be metal enough - but I can't see enough guitar!

- Yes, cool shot.

You get an extra metal star for the pentagram, but I have to take a star away for the bare foot, man. :(

Re: Category #7 Submissions: Best METAL guitar

Here's one of my Toxic Twins, Hanneman Tribute, one of only 100 built (other is an almost equally rare black one with a Floyd). One of the fastest guitars I've ever played, and easily the best for fast thrash rhythm and fast, palm-muted "spider riffs". Stays in tune perfectly and consistently makes me feel like I'm one level higher as a guitarist than when I play most other guitars in this style of music---everything flows out of me. Would seem inappropriate to play blues or other with it, so I use it for its intended mission only, which includes '80s inspired thrash and the music that inspired it, such as Diamond Head and Priest. :argh::firing:

That is a weapon for belting out some Vinnie Vincent invasion! Say what you want about his likely insanity, but he was a ballz out rocker, complete with a dual self-loathing/superiority complex, and an appetite for self destruction. In other words, a classic metal personality! Metal is not for well balanced people. :smash:

I think this qualifies, seeing as how it's a signature guitar from Trivium and a seven string. Plus the all black thing.

The AHB-3 just slay with this guitar. Way better than the stock EMGs. The Gotoh feels great and holds pitch when diving. The guitar feels solid in your hands. Sometimes it's good to know that the guitar is there.

Early 1980s Hamer Special I call it the Wyldbil Pirate Special #5. Everyone that plays it lets loose with it. Currently continues on it's journey across the US. It is in Orange County, California at the moment. Original owner and modifier of this Rawk Beast was Wyldbil from Knoxville, Tn. and what a Rawker that big boy was. Fronted a couple local bands including Dressed To Klown. That's right KISS songs played by guys dressed as clowns. :dunno: Bil passed away in 2006 but his memory lives on at the HFC brightly. I am only the caretaker and road manager of this guitar. It will return someday for me to play again but not to soon. :headbang:

Gene - I swear if I know you until I die, I will not see every guitar you own!

Re: Category #7 Submissions: Best METAL guitar

I haven't owned a Kahler in many years, and was stoked to have the different feel again. There is also a subtle difference in tone compared to my other JH with the Floyd (overall, I prefer the Kahler model). I record with the Toxic Twins each panned hard to one side and the stereo effect is awesome!! I always have a slightly different tone for each side to make the guitar sound bigger.

The LTDs made in recent years hold their own-----BIG TIME. Gary Holt even uses an LTD on stage because it hits the target.
