I have used a Hybrid of those and had pretty good luck though.

Don't buy both. Just buy a CC and an A5 magnet and swap magnets. Or you can get a C5 and an A2. They're the same pickup, otherwise. That'll save you a good $70 new. Those magnets are cheap. But, I hear the lows better on my LP and the yare tighter.....the Mccarty seems more washed over throug the mids and lows....
