CC/ PG CLIPS (in various styles)

Here are some clips of CC (14.40K) in the bridge and PGb (8.15K) in the neck, while the middle is occupied by my 6.0K 90 non-staggered fender stock pickup. The guitar is a MIK ibanez S370 with some version (I dunno which :P) floyd.

Here they are:

Jam 4-2

Jam 4 (same as Jam1 but with a different approach)

Jam 5 (some country wanking)

Jam 6

Jam 7

Jam 7-2 (take 2 for Jam 7)

Some Metal Waking

Myles' Purple Jam take 2

Hope you guys like it. Let me know with questions and comments.

I am loving Jam 7 totally the Mule vibe. You got me thinkin about a CC in my Explorer, really nice!! What are you playing through?

Glad you've liked them.

I have to remember (and relisten to) what I have used particularly on each of these tracks. But for now let me say they are either of the following:

1. Celestion Blue and JJ modded blues jr
2. Bassman 59RI
3. Preamps: mesa boogie v-twin; barber direct drive
4. direct recording: behringer v-amp2. (And I think jam 7 is with this one, but am not too sure).

totally unholy.

AHAHAHHA
i will listen to the other files.

is the metal wanking solos all on neck position ?

Thanks guys! Glad you liked them.

I remember the pickups used in those clips. Let me know which one you are interested in, and I can be more specific.

Let me start with that metal wanking: It is done on some backtrack a forum buddy has done. It was a full song (that never got finished) and what you hear supposed to be the solo. It is done on behringer v-amp2, and I have used the bridge CC completely. As you might hear, I ran the signal from the guitar before it went into the v-amp2 through a cry baby wah (which -I have to admit- needs some work with a contact cleaner).

Love the playing. Particularly like the country 'wanking'. (that would be on the swear filter in a UK forum). Any chance of posting the backing track so we can all have a play with it? Maybe a jam for the future. Why don't you join us in the forum jam we've got going?

Holy ****!!! Awesome tone.
That's some sick playing man! Very clear on every note.

Do you happen to have a rythem clip of the CC as well? I'm very interested in how it holds up with palm mutes and fast playing.

Re: CC/ PG CLIPS (in various styles)

Thanks man, I appreciate it. Will be checking the CC rythm clips. I might have it, but it's been over a year that I've done those, so gotta listen to them first you know. If I were to find some, I will be posting here.

Superb tone man, and great playing too! :D I think this is the way to become a duncanmania...

Re: CC/ PG CLIPS (in various styles)

Well done, Dr. Barlo. Great playing. I just put a CC in my Strat and after listening to your clips I'm quite sure that a Pearly Gates will be my choice for a neck pickup.

hey man I'm gonna get the CC and PG too. Thanks to dr.Barlo, he helped me to decide which pickups to choose.I think they're a great combo as you can hear from the sound clips.Do you guys know any good internet site which send those pickups to Turkey? I know music123 doesn't anymore.

Welcome to the club!

Either a a2pn or a pgn, depending on how much highs your neck tone has. PG's has a little more uppermids, thus, they might help if you have trouble cutting through. Still a2p is a great pickup!

Get hold of LEW or John @ BlackRose! Both'll take good care of you. ;)

Thanks.

Let us know of the results. CC in strat bridges generally does a superb job. But if there are minor problems (like the lack of highs, or having too spongy bass) after all the standard height and screwpiece adjustment tricks then fine tuning the tone by magnet swaps is feasible and fun! Let me know if you need my help.
