It's nice....At around 7k you get a pretty beefy split tone...It's one of my favorite Duncan humbuckers to split also...Go for it!

I have it wired on a 3-way switch to do paralell, split, and series (same with the Alnico II Pro in the neck). Works very nicely. A couple of things though - don't expect it to sound exactly like a single coil pickup (no split bucker ever will), although there are some very nice useable tones; and I would split so that the outside coils are on (you'll notice more of a change in tone than if the inside coils are on).
