Freakin I love good celestions. Ive got 3 Celestion vintage cabinets(although to be honest I dont meess around much with anything but vintage greenbacks and Gt-65's).I do like the reissues though. The g12h imo is excellent. Unfortunately a lot of those reiises arent made in Engalnd anyomre. I dont know what the QC is on them and I dont care. I aint buying a celestion made in China. Period.The Vintage 30's are good speakers, very good speakers I think ...really? not "great" speakers. The speakers I mentioned that I hated I have to stick by my guns. I disagree very respoectfully with the other dudes. Those speakers are total junk. Emiinenece puts out such a better product than that horseshoot.Also, they( G12m70) are hard to sell and a pain in the butt to ship. Youll get maybe a hundred for that quad, and i dont think youre really geting q a 1960 cabinet either, and the other cabinets are worthless pretty much. Eminince makes some really outstanding spealkers. You just have to know which ones.
I mean, some people will say the Gt-75s are **** goos speakers. I think they suck. Thats my own opinion and its definitly been contested by a lot of musiciansn. Best of luck.

I think you may be right, I have heard cabs with Celestions that I liked very much, and I've heard others that sounded very dull and ugly. My Marshall was one of them. I'll have to sell the speakers that came out of it on eBay.

How can one tell if a Celestion speaker was made in China by looking at it? Do they say "Made in China"? Carvin sells Celestion speakers and was wondering if any of you know where those are made.

BTW, what Eminence speakers do you guys like?

So, you think the gt-65 is a good one?
I have a sealed-back cab that came with my Musicman, and I think it has three of these in there(maybe G12-65...can't remember) with one odd-ball...an original musicman speaker. When recording, if i put a 57 on one of the gt65, and one on the musicman, I can blend between the two for more highs (gt65) or a more mellow tone(muisicman).
