Celestion G12K-100 speakers

Anyone ever use/try these? Any opinions on 'em for hard rock/metal?

i was looking at that 15-speaker shootout on YouTube and the tone of these kind of appealed to me in the video.

Isnt that what they are built for?
I have an old G12H100 and that is epic for heavy sounds.

I dunno... is that what they were designed for?

They seemed to be a little louder and clearer with more high mids than the G12T75 by comparison.

I've got a couple G12K100s. They have a pretty even response with bright sparkly highs, good mids, and solid bass. They work fine in both open and closed back cabs. Great for hard rock. I don't play metal so I can't answer for that.

I tried them with 6505+ and my answer is- yes they are nice for rock, hard rock and metal, especially 80's metal -but try them out yourself - they come in a marshall mode4 cab, I think...

Huh! No kidding... I'll have to see if there's one locally around here.

I've only seen one artist use a Mode Four head/cab for a gig and it was a blues guy doing a late Albert King/Otis Rush style thing with a Strat... he sounded REALLY good with it.
