Anyone have experience with the neodymium speakers? I'm considering an Avatar cab with the vintage series - any user feedback on either the Vintage or the Century would be much appreciated.

I had a pair of the Century speakers in an Avatar 2x12 and also in my XXX combo for a short while. They can handle a ton of power but I found them very bright and a bit harsh in certain ranges. I think for a big clean sound or a nu-metal style they were pretty good. They seemed to handle tuning down real well. The highs and lows are strong points but the mids left me kind of cold no matter how I EQ'd them.
For a warmer tone they were not there, now the Vintage voiced version may handle that better but I haven't had my hands on them yet. They were great to carry around, it's ridiculous how light they were. I would really like to find out more about the Vintage version because they knock a ton of weight off my XXX combo and if they could get close I'd consider them, I just didn't like the standard ones. My ears actually got somewhat tired after playing for not particularly long periods when I used them.
