The Dierdre 30. "Raging, but brokenhearted"

4xEL84

EF86 channel, six position tone switch

12AX7 channel, treble & bass controls

Cut & Master, Separate FX Loops for each channel.

US Made Transformers, same as the ones sold to Matchless/BadCat.

Reverb is still in question. I may not have enough room to add it into the chassis I'm having built.

No idea on pricing or availability, but I did reserver two slots to develop my next two amps.

2-channel HC-30'ish or 1 channel 30w version of the Franklin???

Re: Celtic Announcing.... (amp related)....

2 channel, no switching. you'll need an ABY if you want to footswitch it.

Re: Celtic Announcing.... (amp related)....

I'd really love to hear a clip of this when it's done. el84 happens to be one of my favorite distortions, and I want to hear the effect of the ef86.

Re: Celtic Announcing.... (amp related)....

Scott, if you can, include spring reverb. It'll make the amp more expensive but I've noticed people like a little reverb. Even the guys who say they don't use it will use a little if it's there and I think it's a good selling point. One reason I like my Chieftan a little better than my SC-30 is that the Chieftan has reverb.

Personally I'd rather have one channel and reverb than two channels and no reverb.

With the difficulty getting good EF86's, I might follow your lead lew.

Otherwise, I heard that Mike Matthews is about to come out with a killer EF86. (EF806?) If it's good, then I might have something.

And, there's always room for another tube hole! :)
