Ceramic magnets: large vs normal.

Hi everyone. Could somebody point out to me the difference in tone produced by a large ceramic magnet and a regular size ceramic magnet, regarding tightness, clarity and boosted frequencies? Thanks in advance!

All other things equal the larger mag will be a thicker tone with more mids. The smaller will be brighter and more open, less compressed.

I got an Epiphone Les Paul Goth. The pickups were a bit weak for me so I'm after replacing the alnico Vs with fat ceramic magnets. Also disconnected the tone pots. MUCH better. Sounds Dooooom!

It's where it's at because you get the openness of the wind but the mag fills it out nicely and it's not just a clank.

I agree with what's been said so far. Dbl thick will give you more mids, more smoothness, more oomph.
