The Alnico II pro with be a great choice. They do heavy rock really well and also do cleans very well. They are warm pickups but are not muddy. They do not have huge output but, if you have a halfway decent amp you dont need lots of output in my opinion anyway. If you want more output with a Paf like vibe to it, The custom might be a really good choice for you.
