Re: ceriatone dc-30 clone ...GAS

I was just gonna start a thread asking about this amp so please someone who knows anything please comment!

No experience with the DC-30. But we do have a 1987 Plexi, Tweed Deluxe and a BF Vibro Champ. They sound just as you would suspect an old Marshall or a Fender Tweed would. My amp tech always comments on the excellent build quality in Nik's amps.

I'm interested too! I wonder if they can build it into a plexi sized chasis to fit an empty case I have...

^ Actually, for the cost of the kit + shipping, and still needing an enclosure for the chassis, and possibly speakers if you're looking for a combo, Scott_F might be just as cheap! And you got a fully-functional amp you can drag to gigs, use and abuse.

I second this. Unless you are in it for the experience of learning to build an amp you may want to look at one of Scott_F's amps. Even if you ordered an assembled amp by the time you factored in shipping, a cabinet, and speakers you'd probably be pretty close to what Scott_F could do on a Celtic.

With that said Nik is great and you wouldn't go wrong ordering straight from him.
