Might be a noob question, but could they be anodized black, as opposed to purple?

These rings are shiny silver. But yes, I can get anodized aluminum in quite a few colors.

Wow, I'm impressed. If you could fashion up a way to make an adjustable version I'd bet you could make a few bucks making some. Shoot, I'd probably buy for those "metal" days.
